Welcome to all the new interested players and welcome back everyone from last year. We have a great deal of new interest in this year's upcoming season due in part to how well UpRoar did last season and the guaranteed 3rd bid (possibly 4th) our region will be receiving this season to Nationals. Make no mistake this year will be a great deal of hard work and personal sacrifice; we are building a team, practice schedule, and work-out routine to make Nationals. This year we have a non-playing coach (Jeff Greenwell) who, with Jack and I, will be organizing practices, developing player roles, and calling lines.

We are currently planning four tournaments (two high level) not including Sectionals, Regionals, and Nationals. We are also planning local practices twice a week and weekend practices for select out of townees.

It is very important that you respond to this email (or get in touch with BOTH Jack and Anthony- contact info below) with your interest level for this upcoming season and if you will be making our first local April 20th practice and our first tryout practices on May 15-16th.

We will also be making cuts early so that if you do not make the team you will have plenty of time to play with another.

Our first few weeks of practice will be at USF at the Fowler Fields, directly across from the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI).

The beginning of the year practice schedule is as follows:
1st Stage (hard, fun scrimmaging) - April 20, 22, 27, and 29
2nd Stage (begin plyometric workout regime, 1-2 drills, hard/fun scrimmage) Ð May 4, 6
First Weekend Tryouts will be May 15-16th (please let us know if you need a place to stay ASAP)
3rd First Cuts will be made shortly after this and team and full tournament schedule will be released.

As a reminder, please come to practice reasonably in shape. It will create a better impression among those making personnel decisions, but, more importantly, it will decrease your chances of becoming injured, ending your season before itÕs even begun.
